| Living here in the Islands, we have a rich diversity of cultures, beliefs and superstitions. Occasionally, one is faced with a situation that defies our normal senses, logic, and reasoning. Unfortunately, some people have nowhere to turn to. The majority of these people don't share their experiences due to the fear of being ridiculed, shunned, or viewed as crazy. That's where we come in...
We are the Hawaiian Island Ghost Hunters, a non-profit organization founded to help those searching for answers regarding paranormal activity. We are a Paranormal Research and Investigation team specializing in the field of entities and haunting activity. We will attempt to debunk claims such as noises, apparitions, and eerie feelings by finding logical explanations for these events. We will provide you with only the truth regardless if it is favorable or unfavorable. Our investigations will be carried out with the utmost respect to people (living and non-living), property, nature, and the law. Due to our love and respect for our heritage, land (aina), and ancestors, we will not "intentionally" pursue investigations on sacred lands (heiau, etc.), cemeteries, and will not seek out legends such as night marchers. If you need help regarding the paranormal, please contact us. |
| Preston and former team member Blaise have both grown up with paranormal experiences. Through the years, both have been searching for answers to try and explain what it was that they experienced and how were their experiences possible. Eventually, they both found the show "Ghost Hunters" featuring T.A.P.S. or "The Atlantic Paranormal Society" and took interest in the methods and theories that they used to investigate alleged haunting activity. Flash forward to 2007. Blaise and his family, whose wife Wendy is Preston's wife's sister, moves in with Preston and his wife. Preston had been experiencing paranormal activity in the house for a few years, but did not mention it to Blaise yet. One day, Blaise went walking over to Preston's living room looking at him and his wife with a puzzled look. Preston asked Blaise what was wrong. Blaise said that he was checking to see if anyone was wearing a white shirt. None of them were. When asked why, Blaise explained that he had been watching the T.V. in his living room when he saw someone with a white tank top (some call them wife beaters) walk from the kitchen to Preston's living room. The weird thing was, no sound was made. Blaise heard no footsteps, no door opening, nothing. From there, Preston started telling Blaise about his experiences which included seeing shadows in the corner of his eyes, hearing bangs and noises coming from other rooms, and actually seeing someone walking into his room only to find no one there upon inspection. The next thing you know, they were talking about the show "Ghost Hunters." Within a few weeks, after tossing ideas back and forth between each other, they decided that they would put their years of research, and years of questions, together and founded "Hawaiian Island Ghost Hunters." About two years later, they wanted to be known as Professional Paranormal Researchers and Investigators instead of the thrill-seeking Ghost Hunters that they noticed were popping up all over the world. So in 2008, they established the "Hawaiian Island Paranormal Research Society" a non-profit organization. Being that H.I.G.H. is what they started of as, they kept the name to identify the investigative portion of the organization. The rest is history... Note - Till this day, an actual investigation has not been conducted at the Galera's home... |
