power plant Phantom

This pic was taken at power plant here in the Islands. Workers report seeing entities around the facility, this is one of the areas, and have heard that there is a supposed night marcher trail that goes through the plant. I wasn't able to get more claims or perform an in debt interview with the person who gave me the picture, but I asked him to check with is Supervisors (who have also see apparitions) if we could have the privilege of carrying investigation here.

Look at the stop of the staircase. You can see a figure wearing blue coverall that is transparent. There appears to be a slight blur trailing him up the stairs. We're discussing this photo on our forum at http://high.site-forums.com/gallery-f19/ . We're not photo experts, but these are some of our thoughts.

1. If it was a cut and past, wouldn't there be some sort of distortion by the railing area?

2. If it were slow shutter speed? I wouldn't there be at least one portion of the figure that would appear solid?

3. The figure is not casting a shadow. I believe I see a little black discoloration below the figure, but it too appears transparent. Plus the length of the discoloration does not match up to the size of a shadow that would cast by someone the size of the figure. (see forum for the picture was enhanced by Wayne)

4. I asked the gentleman who gave me the photo why did this person take a picture of this exact place? He said that many workers report seeing entities in this area. So the night crew sometimes takes random pictures of the areas around their station. Like I say, the more pictures you take, the more chances you get of catching something. Could be this was one of those times?

5. I asked the gentleman who gave me the picture if the features of figure remind him of anyone currently on the staff. He said no, and so did a lot of the other workers there.

6. Being that I am an employee of Airgas, I was wondering if the figure should have been wearing hardhat while on premises. A majority of plants do. My safety specialist said that they are required to wear hardhats in the "plant" area. They were unsure if the area in the picture would be an hardhat required area.

7. Someone inquire about the white spot below the staircase. He mentioned the white spot is supposed to make the shadow appear darker instead of lighter. I countered by commenting what if this white spot is dirt, crushed rock, or dust. Would that lighten the shadow due the different angles within the pile?

Debunking Attempt

The pictures shown below are Basa's attempt to recreate the power plant Phantom picture. As you can see, with basic software and picture editing capabilities, Basa was able to get pretty close. The thing about the Phantom picture that makes us question it is that it's too good to be true. Here's a neat one in night vision. Is this ancient Warrior still guarding the beach?

There's that same "handsome" ghost again standing to the right of the worker. Here's the thing though... Look closely at Basa's insert compared to the original "phantom." With Basa's phantom, you can tell that it was pasted over or in front of the railing. The original phantom appears to be between the two sets of railings. It would take some time and effort and probably two sets of pictures and a program that can layer photos to create what is shown. So the power plant Phantom is still open for discussion...

This picture was taken in a Cemetery down by the North Shore side. Hawaiian Island Ghost Hunters does not claim orbs as evidence, but this one seems "different." You can see the typical dust orbs in the background, but this object "appears" solid and emitting it's own light or so it would seem. It could appear that it's emitting it's own light because it's so close to the camera like a bug being that we were outdoors, but I don't see any wings or any type of details that would lead me to believe it is an insect. Let us know what you think.

This picture was taken on a different tour at a different cemetery. To me, this looks like streaks caused by slow shutter speed. I captured the same type of anomaly on my camera at the same cemetery on the same night. (See below)

Here is a picture that I got off of my digital camera at the same cemetery on the same night as Don's picture above. If you look at the picture below, you can see where the streaks are coming from such as the street lights and building lights. (This is why we always take two sets of picture of the same area...so we can compare anomalies.

Second picture taken of the same area as the picture above. In both Don's and my pictures, I would conclude that the streaks are caused by slow shutter speed.

 This picture is supposedly of an apparition of a man standing on the opposite side of the door looking through the glass. This building apparently was burnt by a fire.

Zoomed in portion of picture above. By looking at the picture, it's possible that someone would see what appears to be a person bending his right arm up as though he were holding his left arm, a head and a face. This could quite possibly be a picture of someone on the other side of the door, the refection of someone else in the room, or it could be just case of matrixing.

Alcatraz

These pictures were taken by Kristin while she was on vacation with her family. They took a tour of the infamous prison Alcatraz. These pictures were taken underground in the basement area. In the picture above, you can clearly see a white anomaly right in the bottom middle portion of the picture. But what is it? They are underground so it can't be the sunlight shining on the lens. Kristin said there was not any mists or fog in the area and no one was allowed to smoke on the tour.

This picture was taken immediately after the picture above. As you can see, there is nothing wrong with the camera itself. The lighting and coloring is basically the same. So what could it be?

Our photo analyst will be going over the anomalous picture to try and see if he can decipher what exactly the white haze is in the picture above. In he meantime, if you have any comments, contact us.
